I use these for smelt bait! Put one of these on a number eight egg hook, and if the smelt are there, it turns into a production line! It's one smelt after an other. For smelts on ice, hard to beat!

I used this the first day of trout season, and i have to say i didn't expect much because it was in my tacklebox a while. But when I threw it in the water within two minutes i had a nice 15 inch rainbow on. Once i released him, i threw it in again and within 5 minutes i had a 13 inch rainbow on. it worked great. I went back the next with a buddy I used this while he used power dough and it stays on the hook very well. Let me tell you berkley really outdid themselves with this bait, and buy it for trout, they can't resist. By the way i used the yellow kind.

The fish cannot resist this bait, especially panfish and channel cats.
