I not only use this line on my ice rods but also on my open water UL rods and reels for perch, crappie, gills and even old marble eye. Very durable and lasts a long time. You can feel the difference for sure. I have even landed a 25 lb. musky on the 4 lb test crystal. It's tough !

This line doesn't stretch, is very strong, is half the diameter of mono, and the fish cant see it.
Sure it may be expensive, but it is the best line I have ever used.
This line held when catching monster crappies.

I was turned off of Firelines Micro ice series but just had to try the crystal line. I found it much imrpoved over the origianal mincri ice and much better then the other braided ice lines. It holds up really well and does not take on as much water as other braids...I found the mid weight lines the best from6-10lb but stay away from the 1lb as it is the wide of hair and is way to easy to break with tying
