Beretta keeps the PX4 Storm light with a corrosion resistant, fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame that includes an integral Picatinny rail for rapid attachment of tactical lights and laser aiming devices. Ambidextrous manual safety lever is positioned on both sides of the slide for easy access by all shooters. Rated 5 out of 5 Pleasantly surprised
I own two Px4s so far. The full size 45acp and my carry the Px4 40S&W. I have shot many different brands of pistols and these are by far the most fun and consistent out of the box. The 45acp is easy to stay on target. Unlike others the barrel rotates and has a locking lug system that takes a lot of the recoil away from it. The 40S$W is by far the best all around conceal carry pistol there is. It is big enough to intimidate yet ergonomically designed to conceal well. The groups I shoot are amazing considering I am disabled and can't afford to shoot as much as I would like. So if you want a great pistol of the highest quality and for a more than affordable price get the Beretta Px4.

I have had this gun for 2 months and I love it. My wife shot it and she feels comfortable with it. Only down, is that I had a jammed the last two time but after a good cleaning with a brush it seems to have solved that problem. I have ran 200+ round on it.

The PX4 is my 3rd pistol purchase this year out of 5 I have. All are top brand names. Biggest plus for me is the easy of shooting. Very little recoil. Quality in every way. The gun fits my hand perfect. Well balanced. Every function of the pistol is solid quality. Due to ammo shortage I have only put a 100 rounds through her. Flawless in every way, very accurate out of box. Quality of gun exceeds the price. 2 of my pistol cost $100 & $250 more than the Berretta. The px4 is at least equal or better than any pistol I own. Last point is the great look of the PX4. The pistols looks as good as it performs.

I purchased mine about a month ago. Love it, fits my hand and has nice weight. I've fired about 50+ rounds with it and It shoots nicely. Not a lot of recoil. I wanted a conceal piece but the smaller guns just didn't feel right. Works well, no load or mis-fires problems. Feels like quality. I like the .40 over the 9mm. Just more confidence on my part and ammo was available at Bass Pro. 9mm seems to be hard to fine

This question is a bit general. If you buy a pistol for self defense then how far it is accurate is a non-subject. It depends on the shooter , the load, bullet shape and a few other facts. It is real real accurate for me to about 50 yards. What you need to ask for defense is how well does it draw. Does it ever fail. Is it too heavy for me? Remember that most defensive shooting happens within 10 feet.

This is my first gun. So far my best grouping is 2" with 5 rounds at 120 feet distance.
Full size refers to the size of the pistol. Like a 5" barrel is full size and a 4" is compact. Under that it is usually called sub-compact. High capacity refers to the amount of ammo the mags hold. 9mm go from 10rnds to 17rnds. So high capacity is any that is above what a normal mag for that pistol.

The full size is high capacity at 14 rounds in the magazine. The compact has a capacity of 12 rounds, the subcompact has 8 or 10 I believe.
For most popular guns there are full size and compact models, for instance I just purchased a Ruger SR 9 full sized high capasity model 17rds you can also buy the compact model which is the Ruger SR9c the c is for compact it also holds 17rds. However you can buy a standard or regular capasity model which would hold 10rds. Almost every major brand Glock, Beretta, Sig, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, ect. make model in both a full sized and compact. High capasity above 10rds & standard 10rds or less, they do this because in many state you can only have 10 max rounds in a magizine by law.
