Built around Beretta's latest PX4 modular technology, the Beretta PX4 Storm .40 S&W Full Size Pistol delivers large frame firepower that can be customized for different shooters. Utilizing Beretta's strongest pistol action, the PX4 Storm's unique rotating barrel and locking system reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise by releasing recoil energy radially. The gun's chrome-lined barrel resists corrosion and requires less maintenance. Beretta keeps the PX4 Storm light with a corrosion resistant, fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame that includes an integral Picatinny rail for rapid attachment of tactical lights and laser aiming devices. Ambidextrous manual safety lever is positioned on both sides of the slide for easy access by all shooters. Bruniton™ non-reflective black coating provides superior corrosion and wear resistant finish. White 3-dot sights provide quick acquisition of the target. Weight: 27.7 oz. Capacity: 10+1 rounds.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Pistol I bought this pistol after a long review process on youtube. I love the rotating barrel because it helps the kickback displace around the barrel rather than put the full strain on my wrist and forearm. It is easy to disassemble and clean. I have the full size .40 caliber and took it to the range the same day I bought it and put 48 out of 50 rounds in the black and missed 2 at 25yds outside the head. What an awesome pistol January 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding!!!! This gun is accurate right out of the box. This is my first time ever owning a gun and I am very pleased of how this gun has performed so far. I let a couple of my friends fire the gun as well...and they all had the same comment that it instantly feels good on the hand and fires accurately. Other reviewers have noted that the gun jams....So far I have fired over 600 rounds and cleaned it twice and no issues of jamming. I would highly recommend this gun. January 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love This Gun I spent a lot of time deciding which gun to purchase. It had to feel right and be a natural fit in my hand. This PX4 Storm just fit my hand better than any other full size automatic from the first time I picked it up. Once I got into the store to buy it, instead of just shopping, choosing between the all black and the 2 tone was the biggest problem. I chose the 2 tone. I have only put about 250 rounds through it so far and I can shoot better groups than the guys I go shooting with. I haven't shot much at all for a long time so that is a fun thing. This is the first .40 I have ever shot and I like it better than the .45 1911 I used to have. Since my wife and I shoot a variety Of guns when we go out to the range we get a lot of practice taking down and cleaning other brands and models. She has been borrowing a lot from friends to decide what she likes. The PX4 Storm is a breeze to disassemble and I have never pinched my finger yet. Can't say that about a few of the others. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Full Size Pistol I spent alot of time looking for my first full size pistol, read alot into it then finally got a chance to see it in person, sold by how comfortable the pistol felt. Salesman was cool with spending some time to show me other pistols too but went with the PX4. Great gun to shoot, low on the recoil compared to a friends glock 45 cal, and S&W 9mm. I'm also thinking about a sub compact and most likely stick to the PX4 line. August 23, 2011

Distance or me 20 yards for very close pattern of 6 shots. I am not a pro shooter by no means. The most accurate of my 5 pistols at that distance.

The full size is high capacity at 14 rounds in the magazine. The compact has a capacity of 12 rounds, the subcompact has 8 or 10 I believe.

Full size refers to the size of the weapon. The PX4 is a full size weapon. The magazines are what is different. HIgh capacity is over 10 rounds and standard is 10 rounds and under.

Some states will not allow the use or possession of magazines with capacity higher than 10 rounds therfore Bass Pro will sells both models.

For most popular guns there are full size and compact models, for instance I just purchased a Ruger SR 9 full sized high capasity model 17rds you can also buy the compact model which is the Ruger SR9c the c is for compact it also holds 17rds. However you can buy a standard or regular capasity model which would hold 10rds. Almost every major brand Glock, Beretta, Sig, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, ect. make model in both a full sized and compact. High capasity above 10rds & standard 10rds or less, they do this because in many state you can only have 10 max rounds in a magizine by law.
