I bought this pistol with no knowledge of it at all. If I had read the reviews to start with I probably would not have bought it. That being said here is a little of what I have found to help on some of the problems.
First if you leave the cocking assist off during firing it will eliminate the shooting low in most cases. I left mine on as I replaced the iron site with a red dot and did even have to worry about the shooting low.
For the trigger problem if you remove the trigger adjustment screw and take to your local hardware store and get one 1/8" longer, and one a 1/4" longer and a nut to fit on it. it's a 3m screw by the way. Now put the nut on the screw and use a file to round off the end of the screw this way the screw slides easier and the longer screw will shorten the pull. The nut is to clean up the threads after you file it down. The second longer screw can be used to shorten the pull even more, but be careful as this can defeat the safety if you screw it in to far.
I did not come up with these fixes but they seem to work for me.
Oh you might try RWS Superpoint Extra 8.2 Grain or Gamo Rocket 9.6 Grain they worked well for me. 5/8" groups at 30' from a rest.

by MikeTVC Great Gun!
This gun is fun to shoot, easy to cock and deadly accurate. The reviews on the sights and how it shoots low are true. To remedy this merely install a red dot sight to the weapon and it's cured.
My 11 and 13 year old sons had no problem cocking the gun or hitting their targets at 25 yards. I back up to 35 yds and group shots at 1 inch. The pellets bury deep in treated lumber. We will definitely try on squirrels raiding the bird feeders soon. I haven't played with the trigger since that has not been an issue in shooting the gun. Like it and recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ogrady743 nice pistol, bad sights
I recently bought this pistol and thoroughly enjoy it. Initially, it tends to shoot low even with the rear sight elevation screw as high as it will go. I took the screw completely out and now it shoots reasonable, if not a little high. With the elevation screw up as far as it would go, I had to use the entire front sight ramp as part of the sight picture to put it on target.
I solved this by adding a Pursuit X1 red dot scope. After some initial zeroing in, I am able to place 5 shots in a 1 inch grouping at 50 ft. The trick is holding it steady, as it is a bit heavy with the added scope, and the trigger pull is heavy at 7 lbs. I tried adjusting the trigger, but found the factory setting with the screw turned fully down to be the best. Use a slow and steady pull.
The Pursuit X1 3/8" rails will work with the dovetail mount on the pistol. This is the one with 4 reticles in 2 colors. (SKU 1895056). The others don't fit the dovetail.
I am using Crosman Premium wadcutter pellets.
Pair this with a SXB gun case and you have a very nice gun at a reasonable price that will make the "cannon" guys at the range embarrassed.
