best air gun ever i feel like this is the greatest air gun made to date for the average guy who wants an above average gun. i bought the .177 and i love it so much that i just bought the .22. the nitro piston is awesome...it works. ive tried almost every pellet and i found the crosman premier magnum work the best for the least amount of noise. this gun is so powerful that every pellet i tried other than the magnum probably broke the sound barrier and that was the cause of the noise. the scope is great. it actually works. my gun is really accurate, thats another thing i absolutely love about it. once the scope is set, i will litteraly hit 10/10 bullseyes at 75ft. i can put the shots in between the other shots, its that amazing. i love the bull barrel, the wood is very nice, but the other thing that i absolutely love is the thumb hole/pistol style stock. i will only buy that style for whatever other guns i buy in the future. to me, it is so much better than the old style. for me, it makes shooting more fun, it brings a different feel. most of all its more comfortable. ive been waiting a long tie for airguns like this to come around and im not disappointed at all. worth every penny, i recommend you just spend the extra money, you will be happy you did. NICE GUN Ok got gun in the mail. open the box and WOW WHAT A GUN i have outher airguns but nothing like this gun. came with a nice scope. and a sling. so i shot the gun today about 50 times gun seems to be accurate out to 55 yards i have not shot it past that yet . but i can tell you all this. this is not a toy this gun hits hard real hard for a .177 cal. some reviews say thay dont like the trigger. trigger on my gun is not hard to pull at all. OVERALL I LIKE THIS GUN ALOT August 14, 2010
Really reaches out I purchased this gun for myself because I saw a review online and it looked awesome. The break in period was about 200 shots, after that the gun is amazing! I shoot JSB match diabolo in 8.4 grain, I have also had good groups with RWS superdome, and Predator polymags. With the JSB's I have been accurately shooting out to distances of 66 yards (according to my bushnell rangefinder), I know this gun would shoot farther but I don't have any more room in my yard. You can use the regular crosshairs out to about 54 yards, after that I use the first mil dot out to 66 yards. You will not be disappointed with this gun, just use the right ammo!!! My buddy has a Gamo bone collector in .177 and mine is a much more superior air rifle, the nitro piston really makes a difference. I can reach speeds up to about 1350 feet per second with alloy rounds, but I prefer to shoot the lead pellets for consistency (the JSB diabolo's shoot somewhere around 1030 feet per second which is great for lead pellets). POSITIVES: Accuracy, consistency, workmanship, scope and rings are great. NEGATIVES: Trigger has a very long pull, cocking effort is tough, just be sure to keep a good grip on it while cocking, also heavier than a synthetic stock. For me the good far out weighs the bad with this gun, I LOVE IT!!!!!! June 29, 2010
think twice I Have owned many air guns and have been shooting them for almost 35 years. I understand break in, and how different ammo gives different results. I patterned the gun and found that premier 10.5gr had the best grouping of 6" @35 yards shooting from sandbags. By now the gun should be well broken in but still was shooting wild. After about 300 shots, the scope became blurry and would not focus. I then pulled the scope from one of my BSA's and the results were still 6" groupings. The trigger really needs some work as well.. I understand that this is not a $1000 rifle, but the trigger pull should be a bit better and the grouping leaves ALOT do be desired. On another note; after getting home I did notice the packaging had been previously opened but resealed with scotch tape. September 9, 2013

This gun will only kill a coyote if you shoot it in the head. Not recommended for coyotes

Can you? Probably with a close range, well placed head shot, But it is not a recommended air rifle for game that large. Even a side shot that hit no bone would probably penetrate enough to kill, but relatively slowly. I do not believe it would be humane to hunt game as large as coyotes with this rifle.
