Rated 3 out of 5Â by GreenMountainMan Benjamin Air Rifle
I bought this air rifle for one purpose & that was to kill rabbits that are destroying my lawn. The quality seems to be good however it is not powerful enough to humanly kill the varmits even using Destroyer pellots. So from that stand point I am dissapointed. I think you need 1000fps. I wouldnt buy this for shooting critters like squirrals rabbits etc. You definately need more power for that. If you want it plunk at cans and little things like that then I think it's fine. I young kid will have a difficult time pumping it so keep that in mind also.

i had one just like this for 32 years and it finally died. i was sad until i went to the bass pro site and found that i could still buy one just like it. these are very accurate if you take the time to sight it in. best air rifle i have ever owned.

.177 and they are owned and made by crossman these days. so you pay for the benjamin name and reputation but end up getting a cheap crossman. mine lasted about 6 months and there is pretty much no warranty once you get into the fine print. its junk.A:Â
22 caliber. There is a little drop down box on the side of the ad that you can choose the caliber with. It only shows the 22 cal. choice.Details:Â
My WRS model 34 only shoots pellets and it would be nice to have the option to shoot BB's as well.Answers

No definately not. You need more power.A:Â
I have shot many squirrels with this model gun in my younger years. It works fine but the shot must be well placed. Head shots don't work as well as heart shots. For pellets, I like the RWS Super points. and the Beeman Kodiaks.A:Â
yea i do all the time but you have to get real close like 10 yardsA:Â
i have a daisy bb gun that shoots 650fps and it kills squirrels. any gamo or crossman pellets are good.A:Â
yup! use the crosman destroyer or crosman premier hollow point. ive tested every style of pellet and those do the most damage to wood. they will take out any squirrel. i have a 760 and ive taken out plenty with it.A:Â
I have the same gun and use 7-9 pumps when hunting squrriel and other small game. I would have to recommend by far the best pellet to hunt with is The Desroyer by Crosman.http://www.basspro.com/Crosman-Destroyer--177-Caliber-Pellets-250-Count/product/10212436/-1672387

i want to buy this gun but i dont know how old do you have to beAnswers

18 for all weapons except knifesA:Â
This question is best answered by your local sporting goods store or firearms dealer. Age varies in different localities. I don't know your current age, but if your parent(s) have no objections and believe you are ready to take on the responsibility, s/he can buy the gun for you. Otherwise, in most places, you may have to be at least 18 to buy it yourself.A:Â
Depends if the gun has a rating over 499 feet per secon (FPS)Answers

If it has a rail system a 4 X 32 scope is a good size for a gun lots of types mostly universal if you have a rail system.A:Â
first you have to buy scope mount for this rifle which you can buy here but search for airgun/ air gun mount and the one which says 4 piece airgun mount and now you can add any scope you want but for this rifle i rocmmend to you to buy a center point, they are cheaper than leupoldAnswers

yes i would do 10 just in case of wind but u8 should do the job with no windA:Â
no, its a break barrel. you just break the barrel, load it and shoot it.A:Â
it goes to 8 pumps DON'T GO OVER 8 PUMPS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A:Â
Yes. 10 pump max. 5 pumps will suffice for plinking.Details:Â
what is the fps it does not say in the discription.Answers
A:Â
It has to say somewhere on it or someone will tell you you can or can't buy it because it has to be under 500 FTPS (feet per secondA:Â
the .20 caliber goes like 780 - 800 fps, plenty to kill squirrels, rabbits, racoons, rats, possums, and birds and a lot of other small gameAnswers

It should be too hard to pump if it is get gun grese for it and grease pump action handle and pump till you feel an easier pumping action.Details:Â
Hi,I hope I'm asking this correctly? I have a 40+ year old Sheridan "Blue Streak" that takes .117 cal. 5mm pellets. I'd like to put a scope on it but it doesn't appear this gun has a "dovetail"(?) rail on it. So, is there a way I can still attach a scope to it - maybe something I can easily purchase at Bass Pro? Sorry, don't know much about air rifles. My dad found the gun in his attic and decided to give it to me. I've been shooting it recently and it's a GREAT gun! Even without the sight I've been able to become fairly accurate.

unfortunately if it doesn't have a rail system on it yoiu will have to rig something up. worst case sip tie the scop securely down then you are still able to sight it.A:Â
yes you can attach a scope1 of 1
