A favorite among Benelli fans, the Benelli Super Black Eagle II sets the standard for styling, versatility and performance. If you look for the kind of reliability that you can count on, the Super Black Eagle II is for you. The original 3-1/2'' semi auto shotgun, the SBE II uses the proven Benelli Inertia Driven® bolt mechanism to shoot 2-3/4'', 3'' and even 3-1/2'' magnum ammunition without adjustments. This high performance gun also features the ComforTech® system to reduce recoil up to 48% without adding any moving parts or weight. This technology also reduces muzzle climb by 15% for faster follow-up shots, allowing shooters to get back on target up to 69% faster than comparable shotguns. Get your hands on a Super Black Eagle II and find out why this quick shooting, reliable semi auto shotgun is so popular with current and future Benelli owners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Shot Gun My dad bought this after his 11-87 busted apart after about 24 years of hard abuse, he loves that it is light and reliable. The gun doesnt rust but after about 4 years the coating is starting to chip and i will have it redone along with my M2. He has put about 200 rounds through it with only one jam and it happened to be the first time he has shot at a deer with it and he was not able to shoot again. i have put about 1500 rounds through it and have never had a malfunction. i have shot some of the crappiest trap loads to 3 1/2 inch turkey loads and it cycles everything!!! love the gun!! Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Performance I've shot the original Super Black Eagle and the Super Black Eagle II and the performance out of both are astonishing. The Super Black Eagle II cycles everything from light dove loads with ease all the way up to the 3 1/2" steel shot and buckshot. I can go from dove hunting during the week to duck or deer hunting on the weekend and I will definitely use this gun during turkey season this spring. It was a little expensive but well worth the money. January 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Gun I got this gun wanting to step up from the Benelli nova pump that I had been shooting, and I was astonished at how much I had been missing out on. I knew that the Super Black Eagle 2 was suppose to be the best gun on the market but I tried out all the other models just to see if I liked them better; however, I found the SBE2 was at the top of the list. It breaks down really easy and the hydro dip camouflage keeps the gun from showing any signs of rust. Yes, it kicks pretty hard but that's the downfall of shooting 3 and 1/2 inch shells. I have put several boxes of regular lead shot and cheep steel shot through it and it has cycled every round. I have added a kicks high flyer choke to it and it extends the barrel and gives a lot tighter pattern than the factory modified coke. In all, this is a great gun that all other waterfowl guns are compared to. November 13, 2013

I think you mean Remington Versa Max.
The Benelli costs more but in my opinion is the superior firearm. Try to shoot both before deciding. If thats not an option at least go to a gunshop and handle both, shoulder and point them to compare.
