Beartooth™ Comb Raising Kits
Waste of time and money
I purchased this product because it was the only cheek pad product available at my local Bass Pro.
After seeing other reviews that it was "a bit difficult to get on", thinking how hard could it be. It was such a pain to get onto my rifle that I nearly gave up on it. And once it was on it looked about as good as if I had tied an old t-shirt around my stock with a bit of cheap foam underneath.
Definitely save your money and buy a proper cheek pad for your stock that just straps or ties on.

I began looking for a leather lace-up comb. A gunsmith friend of mine recommended this comb. I tried it and liked it so well that I ordered a second one for another rifle. It fits the stock snugly and the spacers allow you to adjust the comb height perfectly. It is a bit tight to get on, but if installed properly, it is worth it.

I bought this product a while ago, and I used it for several outings to the gun range to shoot skeet, trap, and sporting clays. I used this product on my Remington 11-87. I knew this was a cheap looking product when I bought it, but it was the only thing I could find in my local store to raise my comb, so I got it and hoped for the best. One good thing about the kit is that it comes with several different foam pad sizes to put under the neoprene sleeve, however, they shift around after just about every gun mount, so re-arranging them gets very annoying. Also, if you ever need to adjust the amount of pads or change them out, the used ones will be pretty smushed, having lost their shape for the most part. I decided to go with a Beretta gel cheek protector/comb raiser, which looks better, and it wont move around, which is better for me, as I shoot competitively and often. If you rarely go the range and want something that will help raise your comb, this would be an OK product to get, however, for about $10 more you can get something much better.

Given the tightness of the neoprene sleeve this is not an aid that you want to be removing and replacing frequently. Unfortunately the bolt of my TC 30.06 cannot be extracted with the comb raiser in place. I have tried to cover the pads with removable stock sleeves but have not found one which satisfies the situation
