Bear Archery Supermag 48 Recurve Bows
The Bear® Archery Supermag 48 Recurve Bow was originally introduced in 1966, and has been the favored traditional bow for blind, treestand, and thick woods hunters ever since. It has proven itself over and over in the last half century, all with very little modification to the original design—because improving on such a simple, nearly perfect bow is nearly impossible. At a compact 48'' AMO length, it’s surprisingly forgiving and shock-free, and the shorter design makes it lightweight and nimble. The riser is crafted or beautiful and resilient African Padauk, a stable wood that’s one of the finest available for risers due to its stability and uniform strength. The limbs are formed from clear maple, with a reinforcing black fiberglass backing, with black and white fiberglass tips. The center-crowned arrow shelf is topped with a Bear Hair rest, and your arrow is cushioned with a leather sideplate. The Supermag 48 is shipped with a Dynaflight 97 Flemish String.
