I dont know much about bows as this is my first bow, but I am very pleased with it. Its quite and lightweight and packs a good punch. A few adjustments to the sights and I'm hitting bulleyes at 50 yards. Looking forward to my first hunt with this bow. Thanks to Basspro Shop Rancho Cucamonga for setting me up and getting me ready to go hunting!

so i bought a bear legion back in december to replace a browning bow that was 30+ years old and was for my opposite hand. I invested alot of time into finding a bow and one that was left handed in the $500 range and after coming across the Bear Legion i finally found the perfect one for me. It is compact so its great for shooting sitting down or tighter spots, also great if your shorter like myself im 5'7 so its not like holding a giant bow lol. At 318fps its got some power behind it as well as distance. With the new upgraded cam the draw is smooth and easy to pull back. At 80% let off once in full draw its like holding back air, i love it. Its great for when that strong wind comes from nowhere while target shooting or when your just waiting for that perfect shot on your trophy. It comes with a nice 5 pin sight by trophy ridge and with a few tweaks out the box starting to sight it in went very fast and easy. You also get a trophy ridge stabilizer which is pretty good, just wish it was camo like the bow only down fall. All in all i think it is a great bow, i look forward to many seasons with it, i reccomend this to anyone looking for a great rth bow for around $500 or anyone just looking for a well built bow. I want to thank Bear for such a great product and look forward to using more like the Motive 6.

I haven't picked up a bow in years. After many hours of reading about the latest and greatest compounds out there I decided to go with something mid range but couldn't decide exactly witch one until I had a chance to hold it. I've always like Bear bows and wanted one for a long time. It was nice to have such a variety to choose from. I bought all my accessories online first, Tru-Fire hardcore Max release, Apache Micro rest, Tru-glow Carbon sight, Limbsaver dampener, Alpine quiver, and a Meta G5 peep (This is a great combo). I took all my accessories to BPS in Denver, picked out a bare bow and Preston set it all up for me. He paper tuned it and helped me sight in my top pin at 20 yards. After 1 day of practice at home I'm grouping 3 inches at 30 yards. The bows have improved so much in the past 20 years its amazing. Its so easy to pull back at 56 lbs and very easy to hold. I would say that its quiet but I don't have enough experience with other bows to compare. It sounds nice to me. This is the second bow from BPS Denver in the past couple of months and both experiences were great. The archery guys up there know their stuff.

The other day I dusted off my old Browning XCellerator (its 30yrs old but still looks new) and realized that technology and the sport has passed me by. I realized I've never used a release or a peep sight before - I had deer tabs and brass pins. So, I went to the local Bass Pro and looked at a number of bow packages available in the store. I also looked on line.
I selected the Bear Legion for a number of reasons - #1 being fit/feel in my hand and the overall value of the RTH package. This is an early Christmas present. I also bought my son a starter bow kit and plan to get him going in the sport.
The Legion has a very smooth draw, coupled with the 80% let off makes for a very forgiving platform with outstanding performance. The groups I've shot so far are really tight and the shots are super quiet. Arrows were coming off in blistering speed which is advertised north of 300fps.
Excellent service at the Basspro shop in Atlanta. I topped off the deal with the BP credit card and saved 10%. Not a bad way to get back into this great sport. Looking forward to my first hunt with this kit.
