My Son is 8 and received this Bow for Christmas. He is enjoying it very much. It has enough tenacity for his strength to get a full pull from the bow. Its not too big and the quality of the Bow composite is high in quality. Negatives are they shouldnt bother with the extra pieces that come with it like the piece used to draw the string back because its very wimpy and not very adaptable for the user. Instead they should put the money into either another arrow or add the knock for where the arrow goes on the string. I will need to get this installed because my son is having a tough time getting to know where the middle of the string is wher drawing an arrow.
Overall very satisfied with the product for the money.

Overall, this package is decent for a starter kit for a child. The bow itself is light, simple, and strong. It needs a nock, but that's easily added. It shoots surprisingly well, and is easy for a beginner to manage. The arrows are very poor, though. They are not spined well for the bow, poorly fletched with short plastic vanes, and were quickly relegated to "bad back-up status" with better arrows purchased elsewhere. For an intro and a "see if you like it" run, though, it's hard to beat this package, assuming you can get decent arrows.

This was a gift for my very athletic 9 year old. It is a hard pull, but real. She loves it.

I purchased this for my 10 year old son who absolutely loves it. So does my 13 year old. My 7 year old daughter enjoys it, but is not quite strong enough to pull back the bow. We added an arrow stopper on the string to make it easier for them to load the bow (and made the arrow location much more consistant). I also purchased the 4' diameter foam target which is a perfect compliment. 26" arrows are a good size.

20# is not sufficient for anything other than very small game, and the arrows are target point only. At very close range, with blunts, small game might be a possibility, but remote.A:Â
No, the draw weight for this bow is on 10-20 pounds. You would need a heavier draw for hunting. This bow is good for teaching youth how to shoot a bow.Answers
