This is the second one of these battery gauges that I have bought for my 2 boats. The first one is about 7 yrs old and still works like a champ. It's so handy to simply push the toggle switch to check either start battery or the trolling motor battery and you can instantly see hom much battery power you have left in them. This gauge is well made it is simple to mount and hook up. I won't have a boat without one mounted in it. I don't think anyone buying one of these will be disappointed. I highly recommend this battery gauge.

Not too many battery gauges on the market that are waterproof and can be used on an open cockpit boat. This one fit the bill completely. At the flip of a switch I can see if i have enough power to start the engine an not get caught at sea with a dead battery.

Product was delivered as advertised and quite simple to install. The leads/cables could have been longer, but I would think that every installation is different. My suggestion would be to include the parts to make the leads and have the customer supply their own wire as I am sure this is what happens more time than not anyways. Regardless the product works great and looks nice as well.

Since batteries come in various Amp Hour ratings and output capacities - and since it is possible to wire multiple 12 volt batteries in a parallel configuration producing an increased current capacity what does 25%, 50%, 75% actually represent? Current or voltage remaining? And, what are the thresholds associated with each LED lamp for whichever aspect is being monitored.Answers

The gauge reads by hooking up to a ground and to a 12v hot leg. If your battery is fully charged all lights light up if your battery or batteries are half charged only half of the lights will be lit. It does not matter if you have two are more batteries they have to be hooked in parallel so you are only getting 12 volts to the gauge. The more batteries you have hooked in parallel the longer you could run your trolling motor for instance without a power fall off or batteries needing to be recharged. Meaning all your lights on the gauge would be lit longer before they started going out to show you the remaining power left in them. I have a Bass tracker boat that has two batteries one for the outboard motor the other for trolling motor. I hooked both sets of wires to each a battery and I flip the toggle switch up for outboard battery and down for trolling battery. If half of your lights are off you have used half of your batteries amp hrs. if you have 3/4 of your lights on you have used only 1/4 of your batteries amp hrs. Hope this helps.A:Â
Here is the information from the manufacturer:1) The battery gauge is reading the voltage of a single 12 volt battery.
a. The battery gauge is calibrated to read
b. The gauge is calibrated to read the below readings, but these are all approximate voltage readings.
i. 12.75 volts at full
ii. 12.65 volts at 75%
iii. 12.50 volts at 50%
iv. 12.05 volts at Empty
Thanks
