  • Friction-reducing expandable nylon mesh
  • Slips easily over your rod to protect it
  • Keeps high-tech line guides and inserts from becoming scratched
  • Extends life of rod and line
  • Won't work with 'micro-guide' rods, small guides will poke through the mesh
Friction-reducing expandable nylon mesh slips easily over your rod to protect it, whether in a rod case, travelling to the lake, or just propped in the corner. Keeps your high-tech line guides and inserts from becoming scratched, extending life of your rod and your line. Great for use in boats and truck beds. Imported.

Note:  The Black XTS Rod Sock will not fit all 8’ rods, fit will depend on the length of the rods handle.  Actual length of the Black Rod Sock is 5’7”, measure your rod from tip down before ordering to be sure the rod sock will cover all your guides adequately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ease of storage These rod socks work so well all of my rods have one now. I also have them on my sons rods. They keep my lines from tangling when I load them in my rod box on my boat. I have an older boat that has an open rod box that I have to slide my rods into; these socks help keep the ends from catching and tangling up. I would recommend these to anyone who carries more than one rod at a time. March 23, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Rod Sock This is a good item. Wish they would come in different colors for the same size. March 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Idea These work pretty well. If you carry your high end rods in your car like I do to fish tourneys, these are a must have. I've broken/damaged too many eyelets over the years by not using these...seems like a no brainer. There are a few other brands of these on the market and some may fit particular rods better, but for the price these are my choice. March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works real well! work great for putting in and out of the boat without having all the other roads getting tangled up. A little pricey but that's why I get them on sale. Will continue to buy more! January 26, 2014

The blue will fit spinning rods 7' - 8' in lenght. Keep in mind, this will not cover the entire rod, it is made to cover 3/4 of the rod.

I have from 6 6 to 8 ft saltwater rods - the blue sock does cover and the rods very well although with my 8 st Croix it doesn't quite reach the grip - make sure you check the sock to insure the opening will cover the bottom rod guide - there is some inconsistency

The size of the rod sock fits "up to" the length it states. ex. 7ft. rod sock fits rods up to 7ft.

I see that you asked this question 4 months ago... thus, probably won't help you, but may help someone else.

For spinning rods:
#1929031 Gray = 57"
#1929032 Yellow = 59"
#1929033 Blue = 72.5"

All of the measurements are with pulling or putting tension on the socks. They will NOT stretch much. So, I would use these measurements if making decision. As you can see, there isn't much difference between the Gray and the Yellow.

I have 2 of the black ones for casting rods. Same part number, etc and there's about a foot or more difference in their length. One of them is about 6' and the other is about 7' long.

I can tell you that the Red Ones are about 7 ft in length. I have them on my 6'6" Baitcasters and there's about 6 inches left at the tip. The yellow one is about the same, except it's for spinning rods. Hope this helps
