Great purchase The lure works perfect...., awsome colors and a "BASSKILLER" March 10, 2014
Surprising little lure This little inexpensive lure has brought more fish in for me than anything else I have tried. I'm just now getting back into fishing after quite a hiatus and picked up this lure one day just due to the price and the articulation interested me. So far we have brought in three citation sized chain pickerals and multiple good sized large mouth bass with it, along with quite the array of pan fish. I've tried the other colors this lure is available in, but they don't seem to bring em in like this one. I highly recommend it! (and it won't kill your wallet if you happen to lose it!) Bad joint This lure has the wrong joint to wiggle well in the water. It locks up frequently causing the lure to drag through the water instead of swimming like it should. If you want to catch fish go with rapala jointed baits they have a much better swimming action and the hooks are also much better. Disappointed in these I usually like BPS products very much. speed lures-jointed minnow They work great for me and the price is good. Caught fish first time out. July 12, 2012

I've beat the living heck out of this model of lure without it coming apart yet. Lotsa fishing around structure, rocks, etc, without a hiccip.

No the lure is very well made and durable, I,ve even hooked 40 plus inch Muskies on these lures and landed them successfully over and over again and never had one fail.

The key to jointed minnows is the action and their jointed minnows don't have much. Spend the extra money and get Storms. You will catch more fish. I've had some excellent luck with XTS, minnows, but not the jointed ones.

I've tried all of the colors available at my my local BassPro, but the chrome/black one has kicked butt so far. I fish in clear and stained water for LMB, chain pickeral and pan fish.

For Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass black and silver are very good on bright days in clear water, and black and gold and shad work well in stained water on overcast days.

Forget the XTS jointed minnows. Spend a little more money and get Storms. They are worth it and you will catch a lot more fish due to their better action. Coloration depends where you are fishing and what you are fishing for. My standard in fishing new places is to try a silver or chrome shad coloration and then a gold. Rainbow Trout is a third. If you are fishing large bodies of water like the Great or Finger Lakes, try a a web search to find out what the prey fish are and then try to match lures to their shape and coloration.

It depends on the water clarity in the lake you are fishing. My favorite overall is silver and black.
