Friction-reducing expandable nylon mesh slips easily over your rod to protect it, whether in a rod case, travelling to the lake, or just propped in the corner. Bass Pro Shops® XTS® Rod Sock keeps your high-tech line guides and inserts from becoming scratched, extending life of your rod and your line. Great for use in boats and truck beds. Imported.

  • Friction-reducing expandable nylon mesh
  • Slips easily over your rod to protect it
  • Keeps high-tech line guides and inserts from becoming scratched
  • Extends life of rod and line
  • Won't work with 'micro-guide' rods, small guides will poke through the mesh

Note: The Black XTS Rod Sock will not fit all 8’ rods, fit will depend on the length of the rods handle.  Actual length of the Black Rod Sock is 5’7”, measure your rod from tip down before ordering to be sure the rod sock will cover all your guides adequately.

Excellent product I purchased this rod cover for my G Loomis spinning rod and it fit's just like a glove. Made out of a solid nylon and adjustable for different length's up to 8' . You can't go wrong with this rod cover at this price. Danny September 17, 2014
Wouldn't be without these Whenever I buy a new rod, I buy a new rod sock right along with it. I have 3 spinning outfits and 7 baitcasters in my boat's rod box. Rods come out of the box smoothly with no hang ups. No more tangled lines or damaged rods. I even carry extras as I found that if one goes overboard, they don't float very long. No, they do not. I purchase regularly I have many saltwater spinning rods - inshore and offshore - primarily between 6 6 and 8 ft - so each visit to bass pro I purchase one more sock - I have noticed recently with some I purchased that the opening end size has shrunk and I have had to return to the store to exchange them - it appears that either you are cutting back or the quality control is slipping on the rod sock specifications - I like protecting my rods as I do not purchase low quality equipment, but I also don't want to keep coming back because what I purchase doesn't work October 9, 2013
Rod socks a must I saw these when I was in the shop a while back picked them up for my rods and they are great. I kayak fish and usually have to transport the rods in the hull of my kayak on my roof rack when going with the family and these keep everything from tangling or getting damaged. Works great. The material is made from expandable nylon mesh therefore; you will want to order by your rod length and not the diameter. You will not have a problem fitting by diameter. Thank you!

The blue will fit spinning rods 7' - 8' in lenght. Keep in mind, this will not cover the entire rod, it is made to cover 3/4 of the rod.

I have from 6 6 to 8 ft saltwater rods - the blue sock does cover and the rods very well although with my 8 st Croix it doesn't quite reach the grip - make sure you check the sock to insure the opening will cover the bottom rod guide - there is some inconsistency

The size of the rod sock fits "up to" the length it states. ex. 7ft. rod sock fits rods up to 7ft.

I see that you asked this question 4 months ago... thus, probably won't help you, but may help someone else.

For spinning rods:
#1929031 Gray = 57"
#1929032 Yellow = 59"
#1929033 Blue = 72.5"

All of the measurements are with pulling or putting tension on the socks. They will NOT stretch much. So, I would use these measurements if making decision. As you can see, there isn't much difference between the Gray and the Yellow.

I have 2 of the black ones for casting rods. Same part number, etc and there's about a foot or more difference in their length. One of them is about 6' and the other is about 7' long.

I can tell you that the Red Ones are about 7 ft in length. I have them on my 6'6" Baitcasters and there's about 6 inches left at the tip. The yellow one is about the same, except it's for spinning rods. Hope this helps
