Bass Pro Shops® XTS™ Rattle Shad®
High-action, high-sound—the most versatile bait in your arsenal!
When the fish are aggressive and chasing, throw 'em a Rattle Shad. When they're lethargic and uncooperative, throw 'em a Rattle Shad! This is the best pure triggering bait we know of, a high-action lipless crank with a super-tight wiggle, sexy 3-D eyes, and a terribly noisy internal rattle. Retrieve it fast or retrieve it slow, run it shallow or send it deep—you'll find willing takers far more often than not. Great for bass, and a true secret weapon for walleye aficionados as well.

The action combined with the "look" of the XTS in silver shad /blue back is very effective. I have caught many LM bass, pan fish and Telopia (yes Telopia) on the 2" size and a Tarpon on the 21/2". The XTS has become my "go to" lipless crank bait. The hooks are good quality stainless, no need to change them out.

These lipless cranks have always been dynamite in my Southeren Missouri lake of choice in the Fall. But this past year my partner and I boated a bout 50 fish in a single day on this beauties. The chrome model with the black back actually has a slight purple hue that the bass here love. The only drawback, tot he smaller models, is that the hook s are tiny. I generally replace with bigger. Other than that, these baits are aawesome. Even caught a muskir or two on them!

Started using these Bass Pro Shops® XTS™ Rattle Shad a couple of years ago and you just can't beat them. The color combo's are second to none. I have caught Walleye, Wipers Whites, Largemouth, Smallmouth and even Catfish. Trolling to wading the points in the great state of Kansas I don't leave home without them.

One of my absolute go too lures. For the price it is the best lure i have ever used. it will literally catch almost anything. ive caught largemouth, smallmouth, pike, walleye, sauger, gar, catfish and bowfin with this lure. It is truely amazing for the price. I use white and red crawfish colors. The white is great for pike and walleye. The red is great for bass. Buy it. YOU WONT BE SORRY.

I want to go bass fishing with this bait what color and size should i get. Also can u walk the dog with this baitAnswers
A:Â
You don't "walk the dog" with a lipless crank - that's a topwater method. You just chuck n' reel with these babies!A:Â
I use the red crawfish color and killed largemouth and smallmouth with it. I used the medium size and the large size. they all work. i do not know about walking the dog.A:Â
Try neutral colors in clear water situations and the brighter colors (such as those with chartruse) when fishing in murky or muddy water. These are a sinking bait, so you can't use a walk-the-dog technique.A:Â
you should find the one that is most like the bait fish in your fishing area. no you can not walk the dog with it it sinksTop 25 Contributor

I use these for striped bass fishing! The primary color for me is the green shore minnow, silver shad, chrome black, blue back/silver shad. You can't use these lures to walk the dog, because they are not a floating lure. They run about 3 to 8 feet depending on your retrieve!Details:Â

You can improve the hooks by taking them off of the split ring and by sliding the new ones on. Tight Lines.1 of 1
