I see everyone else posting about catching Pan Fish and small Bass. Sure I caught Pan Fish and Bass on it but it actually works great for Trout. Caught a 14 incher on it the other day then a few casts later it got caught in the rocks and my line broke. So I will be going to Bass Pro to get a few more. I think this bait would be a little better if it had a hook on the rear instead of on the middle of the lure. But that is just a minor disadvantage. Works really well.

I tried this 'lil bugger yesterday on one of my favorite ponds yesterday (3/23/12). WOW, what a plesant surprise to see how many fish couldn't help but clobber this mini crankbait (silver color)! Rock bass, Bluegills and Largmouth all took turns and slamming this 'lil guy! Most got stung by the treble and others missed, due to the lack of a tail hook.. Now I must admit that I'm a diehard Rapala man, but picked up a few of these guys during the BPS Spring Fishing Classic on a whim...GREAT CHOICE! Now as I do with all of my lures, I changed out the factory treble and split ring. For this lure, I made that changes to the Bass Pro Shops® XPS® Rick Clunn Signature™ Series Rings & an Eagle Claw® Lazer Sharp 2X Treble Hook.. The combined weight of these upgrades also caused this lure to suspend ever so slightly with a slooow rise back to the surface. I think this modified action helped provoke MANY violent strikes from the panfish to bass. One other modification I did, was to take a red Sharpie and created a red line along the molded gill flap on the lure; to create the illusion of a gill showing through the open gill flap...just a bit more realism. I can't wait to try these on my favorite streams and rivers! I know the Smallies will crush these cranks!!! GO GET SOME!!!

I bought this lure as something to catch bluegill at my grandmas house. But this thing blew my expectations out of the water! I caught several decent size bluegill along with two 1 pound spotted bass and four 10 in. Hybrids(no joke) which put up quite a fight on my ultra light rig. After lots of ware and tear it has started to lose it's action, but I will definitely get more. One problem is that the absence of a tail hook means that you won't get as many fish, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great lure. All in all, get this lure.

I want to know what the actual weight of these things is. On the package I saw at BPS it said 1/16oz. But in the description for the lure here on the website it says 1/6oz. And on the order specifications here on the website it says 3/16oz. What is the actual weight???

Dives about 2". If you stop retrieving, they float to top, which the fish seem to like.

These lures run about 1 to 2 feet under.I use them for trout, but I haven't caught any yet! Not that hey don't work for trout,probably just the ones where Live!

6 inches to 2 feet is the average depth. If you crank it up stream you may be able to get it down to three feet. This is not stellar for trout but if they are agressivly feeding they will eat this.Answers

I have the chrome/black and the gold/black. I have had more success using the chrome/black.

It really depends on the forage in your body of water. For me, I fish in farm ponds, and small lakes, I would choose 12 and 52. They look like the bass, sunnies, and minnows around me. I would suggest those two.Tight Lines
