Rated 5 out of 5Â by picor96 Great Looking PFD!
We like the look and feel of this PFD jacket. The product description states this is a Type III PFD; however, attached guide and jacket markings (pic attached) indicate a Type II, which is personally preferred.
We have not tested the jacket out yet, but I'll update this review after use.

We bought the BPS XPS infant flotation vest as a shower gift for our first grandson. We spend lots of time sailing as a family and wanted to be sure that we had the perfect life vest for the "little man."
We are delighted with the quality and fit of our purchase and will definitely purchase his next "upgrade" from BPS as soon as he outgrows this one!
Thanks BPS!!

after reading the reviews for this vest I ordered it for my new granddaughter. It was of high quality and was everything the reviews said it was in the engineering and design.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by fishfan Great piece of mind
I bought this vest last year after looking at a lot of vests.
Some vests we looked at didn't have any front straps with the zipper, this one has both. Many other vests have only 1 strap between the legs, this one has 2. I also like the Neoprene material better than the fabric material. It dries faster and seems to be more comfortable.
We used the heck out of this vest last summer, both at the pool and on the boat, and we never had concerns about the quality.
This is a very good vest with some outstanding features. We live in a boating community and I was able to look at a lot of different vests, at a lot of different marinas, and this one was the best both feature wise and value wise. Of course value is secondary to safety, but we found some vests with many of the same features costing twice as much.
Our son will have outgrown this vest come summer, so we will be looking at the XPS child sized vests for him this spring since we loved this one so much!

We are going to the caribbean on vacation with our 16 month old and we want to bring some kind of safety device that would allow us to play in the water with him (pool or ocean). We may also take a boat excursion but the primary purpose will be to play in the water.Answers

There is no difference between a personal flotation device, recreational vest, or life vest. These are just different names used for life vest. There are however different types of life vest depending on whay type of water you will be in. You can view this information by clicking on this link. http://www.pfdma.org/local/download...A:Â
Recreational vests and Flotation Vest are designed to survive both nature's challenges and the challenges of active families. Just different styles. Read the following: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/s....Details:Â
I have a 9 month old and I want to take her on our boat this summer. Would this be a good life vest for her or is there a better one? I am very cautious with my little one, so I'm open for suggestions.Answers

You'll want something else. It fits my son and he's 7.A:Â
This vest is good for infants up to 30 lbs. If your daughter is heavier than that, you'll need to upgrade to the next size.Either way, you won't find anything out there that's any safer or more comfortable for your child!
We love ours!

This is a great vest for a 9 m/o. As long as she's under 30lbs and the vest fits snug, it should be perfect. The vest shouldn't be to loose or overly tight.I like the double straps between the legs, most infant vests only have one. I also like the zipper along with the chest straps for keeping the vest closed.
I bought this same one for my son last year and it was perfect on him. He was 5 mo in May and 9 mo in Sept when we put the boat away, and he wore it all summer.
