  • Insert-free to allow greater sensitivity and easier line threading
  • Environmentally safe
  • Lead-free weights are 95% tungsten and 5% nickel
  • Heavier tungsten lets you downsize
  • Bullet shaped Worm Weights slip through cover naturally
  • Concave base cradles the worm in place

Our XPS® Tungsten weights are now insert-free to allow greater sensitivity and easier line threading, particularly of thicker diameter lines. Environmentally safe, lead-free weights are 95% tungsten and 5% nickel. Since tungsten is much heavier and harder than lead, you can downsize your offerings, keep contact with the bottom, and increase sound attraction! Our bullet shaped Worm Weights slip through cover naturally, with a concave base to cradle the worm in place.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by worth the money i know that these are a lot more expensive than the lead weights but they are worth it. i like how much smaller they are. they work well and the paint holds up well, unless you hit a lot of rocks. December 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by cost to much i like the weights but, they should not be so expensive 4 to a pack ? come on it's only tungsten not gold August 29, 2012

I usually go with pumpkin or watermelon. Thats because the baits I usually use are those colors. Its best to try to match the weight color with the bait color so the fish dont see it as unnatural (even tho theres an obvious hook sticking out of it lol)

So it depends on what color baits you mainly use. I also like black when I'm fishing stained water because the contrast helps draw their attention in murky water

Staff Answer
A:
The different colors listed are colors that are or are similar to the most popular soft plastic colors used for bass fishing. Using a color that is very similar or is the same color as the soft plastic that you are throwing helps to not spook the fish, especially those that are finicky. Saying this, it's hard to recommend a "one best universal color to use". The reason being is that a red or black color will not look quite right with a pumpkinseed colored soft plastic and vice versa.
