This is by far the worst tube weight I have used. Be the time you finally find the hole in the top of the weight you have practically ruined the tube

I fish tubes all year long and in almost every setting that I fish. They are one of the most versatile baits around. That being said, finding the best way to rig one, for all settings, has been a long and tedious task.
Tubes get the best action when you have the weight in the nose of the bait. The best way that I had found was to use the traditional jig head that was placed inside the tube. My problem with that is having the hook exposed. If your fishing in open water and not near lots of heavy cover, then these are great. But if you want to pitch the tube or drop it into some nasty brush, those jig heads get expensive quick. You can also use a standard Texas Rigged weight, but if you don't peg it, it messes up the action of the tube. It also makes the overall profile of the tube seem out of shape. The tube seems out of balance with a standard Texas Rigging.
While browsing the store I found these tube weights. I had never seen them before and was eager to try. All I can say is WOW where have I been for the last few years. These are a godsend for tubes. I can now fish a tube in any type of water or cover without changing rigs.
These are so simple to use. They do go in kind of tight, so I have found the best way to insert them is to take your favorite scent, squirt some down the tube and it goes right in. This doubles as a great way to leave a scent trail as well. The weights also come with a rattle trap and with out. Another great quality of these weights, is when you get your tube rigged, the weight will put pressure on the hook keeping the bait from sliding off. The price on these tubes is great as well. It will fit any anglers budget. Each weight is labeled as to the weight.
These weights will make your tube fishing experience 10 times better. Its amazing how something so simple can make such a difference. Being as these weights see no contact with rocks or brush, they will last a long time. Unless you loose one with a stuck bait, I can't see any reason why they will not last for may seasons. Give these a shot, you wont be disappointed.

There are numerous occasions when I try a finesse tube through the weeds. After all the snags using a tube jig I looked for an alternative. I tried using dipsy sinkers to texas rig a tube and could not get a good hookset. With these there was plenty of space with a 1/0 EWG to set the hook and in one 2 hour hike around my lake I had 6 keepers and KNOW it was because of where I was able to get with the tubes rigged this way. AWESOME!!!

A little expensive for the quanity.Great weight for tubes and paca crawls.
