First off you cant find a sharper hook then gamakatsu, I'll never use anything else ( i've tried many others but none compare). Thats the main point(no pun intended), sharp hooks mean less missed fish due to improper/late hooksets because hungry fish pretty much hook themselves. I dont even set the hook on these I just start reeling in and that pressure is enough to hook them.
As for the paint, its well done and not on the eyelets. I prefer 3d eyes but thats the only way I could think of making these better. I'll be buying more.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by rad4 great jigs for Berkley Gulp minnows
I fish the rivers in upstate ny for smallmouth and gulp minnows do the trick but you need the larger size hook with the 1/8 th ounce jig heads and these fit the bill.

Only thing preventing 5 star is on 99% of all painted jig heads the eyelet always gets painted and you have to remove the paint to attach the line. Hook sharpness is excellent and the hook is very sturdy. Good product for the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by billfromtn Best I've used
These jig heads are the best I've used. You can't beat the Gamakatsu hook and it's just the right size for a 4" grub. I'll definitely continue to stay stocked with these.

Very new to finese tube fishing. I am using 2 3/4" to 4" tubes. Original pack of tubes came with a Gamakatsu Jig Head Hook. It was black and had a weight of 1/16 to 1/8 oz. Looking for more since I'm hooked on this style of fishing. Can't seem to find a replacment hook though. Thanks for any advice.Answers

This jig head may work if you are wanting to use an application with an external jig head. However, if you are wanting to use a jig head as a slip in head to give the tube a very erratic presentation on the fall you want to look at the jig heads that are made for this style of presentation (such as http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Sho...).I hope this helps and good fishing!
