You cannot get the clevis to pull apart. The clevis wire is way too thin and the hole for the spinnerbait wire is too small. Plus, the wire of the clevis will not pull off the brass holding part without so much effort that the wire deforms.
It would take less time to disassemble a tandem spin spinnerbait and replace the front blade than using this product.

I had a difficult time unsnaping the blade holder to change blades. Also creates nicks in the line when you are unsnaping the blade holder.

I recently purchased these to make some walleye rigs with.I went to put some blades on and it is pretty hard to put them on,i had to take needle nose pliers and pull it apart.Although its hard to use it actually isn't a bad product,once you get the blade on.
