Bass Pro Shops XPS Professional Series Hardbaits - Flat Crank
I fish in California lakes and the delta. The red/black and chartruse w/blue back are my colors of choice. So far my big fish on this lure is 11.33lbs. Great for bumping rocks, stumps and pulls through light to medium vegitation well. The lure has awsome big wobble action, paint holds up well and it has good sharp hooks. As for the reviewer that said the bait rolls on the retrieve, your cranking it to fast! If it still rolls its nothing a little tuning wont fix(search google for tuning crank baits). I basically slow roll this bait aiming to deflect it off of structure. After it bumps a rock or stump hang on thats when most of the bites happen.

My wife bought this lure in shad color because she liked the shape and red hooks. I have rarely used a flat sided crankbait but that is about to change. My wife outfished me 5 largemouth to skunked with this lure before she snagged it in a weedbed and lost it. It casts well, has a different action, has good quality hooks with a very realistic and durable finish. Their best feature is that they work well and yes I will be adding several of these to my tackle box in various patterns.

You absolutly have ti try it !!!
That's my prefered shallow crankbait !!!
Its finish is awesome, it's got quality hooks, and most of all, its swimming motion drives fish crazy !!!!
The first time I used it, I was finesse fishing in a small pond with weightless softbaits. The bass were very spooky because of the fishing pressure in that pond. I had just caught 2 or 3 baby bass and I decided to go back home, so before leaving I decided to try any baits I had recently bought. I tied a Flat Crank pro series in pumpkin color on my line and thew it... Within les than 10 mn I had caught a 3 pounder and 2 others of 2 pounds !!
SInce that day, it has never let me down... Try it !!

Doesn't Act Like a Flat Side
I bought one of these when they first came out 2-3 years ago. The detailing is exceptional and does compare to Lucky Craft for 1/2 the price. My disappointment was that I thought I was buying a crankbait that would have a tight wiggle in colder water, like most flat sided cranks do. This one is not like that.
Instead, it has a pretty pronounced left-right roll even at low speeds. I don't understand how some can describe this as a "tight wiggle".
If you want something realistic looking with high action, this will do well for you, but don't buy it expecting it to run like a Jensen Speed Trap. There's nothing subtle about the way this crank boogeys.
