Rated 2 out of 5 by It's OK ..... I had high hopes when I saw this lure. The reason is because I have downsized the amount of rods in the boat and wanted a topwater lure that I could use on my spinnerbait rod. I have a snap tied on the end and I dont use an "R" style bend spinnerbait and I was looking for a buzzbait that would stay where you wanted while using a snap, this seemed to be the fix. I bought this in 2010 so I've had a chance to use it thoroughly. The main flaw in this lure is the design, it rides to high on the water. I get a lot of action with this lure but not nearly as many hook-ups as a tradition style buzzbait. I think what happens is the lure "rides" the bulge in the water created by an approaching fish, and moves away from it's mouth. The traditional style buzzbait has the hook and weight slightly under the water which prevents this from happening. I used it last week and had 7 strikes in 2 hours and boated 2 fish. The next day, same lake, "regular" buzzbait, 8 strikes and 7 boated. I used the same rod, same crank speed the only difference was the style of the lure. I've had the same durability issues as some of he other reviews, so-so skirt, flimsy blades etc. The lure comes through cover great and makes a decent amount of noise to call up the fish but overall I was disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buzzbait Great for bass and some pike go after them too. Over all good lure July 4, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by great lure I own two different style buzzbaits my top choice is the booyah with clanker but sometimes it scares them away when it does i tie this one, runs true all the time great hook, only go with black, and you might just wanna go ahead and buy some higher quality skirts and change them you catch one good bass and the skirts trash, its just the band that holds it in place its just not tight enough well worth the money though and new skirts are cheap November 7, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 Star lure I love these buzz baits. They cast super far. I can also buzz it over lilly pads slow or fast. The 1 down fall it after 15 - 20 casts The blades need to be straightened alittle August 2, 2010
