Thin, Sharp, Deal Like others have said, thin and sharp enough to rip through your worm EVERY time. I wondered if this hook would hold up to big fish, it will. This hook is the best deal going. This fish was caught with this hook. I use the 2/0. This hook holds big fish and catches small fish. Using a trick worm, I can catch 4+ fish on one worm because it tears up so little of the bait. I just bite off the torn section and move down. Love this hook. May 20, 2011
Bass Pro Shops® XPS® Offset O'Shaughnessy Hook I've used these for years and so far can say I've never lost a fish due to the hooks. October 11, 2013
Great Product These hooks are great, lets start at that. I have been fishing for bass with these hooks for about a month, rigged with a Yum Dinger Worm or a BPS XPS Stik-O worm, and i have caught numerous large and small mouth bass alike. These BPS hooks assure a great hooks set and yes as some others put it, the paint eventually does run off, but a colored hook has as much chance as a black or silver hook to catch fish. Bottom line, these hooks rule. In my book, they are up with my favorite hooks witch are Gamakatsu hooks. And thats hard to accomplish. Keep up the work Bass Pro! June 15, 2007
red hook this hook is amazing and as soon as the bass see the red comin off my favorite soft bait the attack it....but thers one minor problem.....after you catch a few bass the red paint comes off and i dont know if anyone else has had this problem but if this normally happens they shouldn't be charging 5-6 dollars for a hook that the paint wears off but other than that this hook is really great August 10, 2006

What's the difference between the 2? They look very similar. I'm liking round bend style worm hooks more and more over EWG worm hooks because hook- ups are much more efficient. More difficult keeping plastic straight on hook, but hook-ups are effortless with this style hook.

A:
They are pretty much the same except for offset is just that, there is a bend at the eyelet. I like these better just because it makes it easier to thread the worm on and for keeping the worm straight.

A:
The O'Shauhgnessy hooks are made for saltwater fishing and are usually pretty stout and can't bend. Round bend hooks that are typically lighter wire can be pulled straight if caught in a snag. In my opinion.

A:
Not as thin as others but very durable plus the thin wire is more for finesse but I use these hooks on a 6 in handpoured worm and they work great.

A:
Its pretty thin wire, but it twists into the nose, and it holds so tight you won't believe it. With it being texas rigged through the back there's no way the hook is getting taken out of the zoom toad by a bass.

A:
The fraction is more about the hook gap but the length also increases about a 1/8 inch as you get bigger.

A:
simply the fraction with a number that is common with both the numerator and the denominator.
For instance, 10/12 can be divided by 2
ergo...(10/2) =5, and (12/2)=6

The fraction is 5/6

Now how long can be measured in time, inches, miles, feet, etc.
