I've been very successful specifically with these hooks because of how strong it is, and how it can be set with minimal effort. I've been primarily using this hook while bobber, and tightline fishing with a live baitfish hooked on. When tightlining, I tie on a weight at the end of the main line, with a separate piece of line with the hook, tied about twelve inches up from the weight on the main line. I've caught almost every freshwater fish there is using this hook. Just cast it out and see the difference that I see between standard hooks and the XPS Octopus hooks.

For tubes, I use a 3/0 or 4/0 wide gap worm hook and xps tube weights. I fish wacky style with o-rings using the O-Wacky tool. 2/o is a perfect size with orings. It leaves all of the hook exposed, doesn't weaken the worm, and is surprisingly weed resistant.
