These XPS® Octopus hooks are made from the finest quality components!
Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Sharp These hooks would be 5-star if only they were sharp. Good design and strength, but be prepared to sharpen them before use. Considering that you can buy Owner or Gamakatsu that are "ready to use" right out of the package for a few more $s, not sure these are worthwhile. Definitely not "Engineered for Sharpness" as the package claims. February 10, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bass Pro Octopus hooks Hooks not sharp, slide right off your finger nail. December 2, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hooks I use the #4 for Salmon and Trout in Milwaukee, they are great. Very sharp and very strong hooks. November 23, 2010
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bass Pro Shops XPS Octopus Hooks I bought these as a cheaper alternative to the Gamakatsu hooks of the same style. While these hook are okay they're not nearly as good as the Gamakatsu. They don't seem to grab as well and they come out of the package quite dull. The price was right but the quality was lacking. I'll stick with the Gamakatsu hooks in the future. September 28, 2010

Recommended size?

Details:
Hello. I am willing to buy these hooks, but I don't know what size would be the best for 2-3/4" tubes and 5" wacky worms . Can anyone help me? (I was thinking about 2/0)

Thank you in advance.

A:
For tubes, I use a 3/0 or 4/0 wide gap worm hook and xps tube weights. I fish wacky style with o-rings using the O-Wacky tool. 2/o is a perfect size with orings. It leaves all of the hook exposed, doesn't weaken the worm, and is surprisingly weed resistant.

yeah, but your better off using something els. the bait has a tendincy to go over the hook and make it almost imposible to get a good hookset.
