Bass Pro Shops® XPS® Floating Minnow
Our experts are impressed with the sculptured, naturally shaped body designs, the lifelike 3-D lazer eyes, the extra-loud rattles—and especially the hot finishes that replicate the natural colorization process (becoming more pronounced in direct sunlight, and somewhat less intense under the surface). All styles are equipped with premium extra-sharp hooks. Whenever game fish are feeding on slender baitfish, this is the minnowbait to reach for! Longer and slimmer to mimic everything from shiners to creek chubs. Very realistic.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by j0shsmith cheap clunky action
these minnows work with the same action as the rapala floating minnows. I was hoping that they would go down deeper when you work them but after trying 2 of them I figured out they won't. Oh they got the size I want though which helps, but cheap junk hooks and they don't suspend, or dive more than maybe a foot below the surface. It's a shame because they're some nice colors

Put this jerk bait to work right after it arrived. Caught 8 bass in a little over an hour. Suspends well and has good action. Good value, reasonably priced.

I am overall pleased with this lure. One thing is it does not suspend for very long before it stsrts to float. I would recomend adding some wire to the front hook to make it suspend longer.

The treble hooks are a wide-gapped size 8 on the 2 3/4" lure, however, they are very weak hooks. Large fish will bend them out. I have had this happen several times. I always change the hooks to hi-quality, size 8.Answers

they would probably work well in the summer for smallmouth bass, and it's possible they could work for rainbow troutA:Â
its great or smallmouth and effective for all troutTop 1000 Contributor

Yes! It is good for both. Especially in rivers. They don't run very deep so lakes may be a challenge - unless you fish shallow.Top 10 Contributor

This is a good lure for rainbows. However, I have had the hooks bent out several times now by large fish. I have even had the hooks on the 3 1/2" size lure (which appear to be heavy duty) bent out by larger rainbows (steelhead) and I was using only 6lb. test line. I highly recommend changing the hooks on these lures if you are fishing for larger fish (pike, steelhead, etc). Use size 8 trebles on the 2 3/4" model and size 6 trebles on the 3 1/2" lure.Images for this Answer
