GIANTKILLER I like the long straight shank with allows baits to lie flatter and more natural. I was fishing a small pond(2-3 acres). I Texas-rigged a lizard with a bullet weight on his nose. I threw him into about 6 inches of water up at the shoreline, and was just e---a---s---i---n---g it away from the shore, when WHAM---something started heading for deep water with the reel screaming like a banshee----6 pounds 13 ounces-need I say more?? Good all around You cant Beat this hook for the value. I use these hooks all the time and they last a long time Most hooks like this i have to change out ever 5 to 6 fish to keep a good point I find with the bass pro's its 8 to 10 fish. and for how many you get in a pack for the cost it could be every 3 fish and its still a great value. I find the red ones really bring the fish in on the hard to fish days. May 16, 2012
Great value I had constantly spent tons of money on gamakatsu hooks over the years. I had a buddy of mine recommened these hooks and boy am I glad he did. They are as sharp out of the package as any I've ever used and hold their point well. Do yourself a favor and try them out it will save you a lot of money, and you wont be dissapointed. Alternative to Owner Finally, an alternative to the expensive Owner hooks I've used for years. Can't tell them from Owners when put side by side. Plenty sharp and I've had no problem with strength. I've now changed over to these hooks for worm fishing and saved a pile of money April 29, 2010

No - I would use a EWG hook. Senkos are thick baits - you will get better hook ups.

I prefer EWG hooks when using a thicker worm like a senko to allow for better hook sets if the worm bunches up.

A:
yes, but for fishing wacky style, I would reccomend a eagle claw weedlees hook (item # 38-453-218-24 from bass pro shop.) The best hook I've found for that situation is a "Strike King, Pork-O" They are hard to find but well worth the effort. They cost around $ 3.00 for a package of 5.

I have no idea how to chose a size fo this hook. I'm picking up sand warms 2 inches and the squid 3 inches.
I would like this hook to exit more to the rear of the baits, do I need two differint sizes? If so please tell me which to get.. Help!

A:
I mainly bass fish, but from the size of the bait you're using I would suggest about a 2/0, and that will should leave a little at the rear end for that natural "wiggle".

Since you are using 2-3 inch worms you should buy anywhere between 2/0- 4/0 hooks 1/0 will prabably be to small and 5/0 will be to big. HAPPY FISHING!
