Bass Pro Shops® XPS® Line Clippers
Nice Idea, Poor Execution
I was looking for a new pair of clippers and saw these. Since I am a fan of multi-tools, I thought "why not"? The lanyard was an added bonus. After an hour of fishing with this object in my shirt pocket, I was ready to use it as a sinker.
1) The cutter is poorly aligned and suffers from "overbite" and wants to *scissor* the line instead of actually snipping it - not good with braid.
2) The "Detangler" hook would not stay in place, inside of the clippers. This hook is Extremely Sharp and I found that it kept sliding out of its storage position and poking me. 3) The knife also had the same problem in that it would not stay were it was supposed to. Thankfully, it is about as sharp as the keel on my boat., so no real damage was done.
The only Positive is 3) The lanyard, which is now attached to the nail clippers I purchased at the drugstore.
Bottom Line: Sorry, but this just isn't worth the time nor trouble.

XPS Line Clippers
I recently purchased two XPS Line Clippers. One for me and one for my 6 yr old son. He broke it within minutes. I think the design needs a little improving. The main pin that holds it together is pretty cheap and does not extend enough compared to other similar products I have used. In addtion, the line detangler seems to poke your hands every time you open and close the clippers. I will stay clear of wasting my money on this product in the future.

these clippers come in handy for a variety of uses. makes cutting the line easy, especially when you need a nice straight piece of line to thread through an eye. stores easily in any tackle box.

SUPER LINE CLIPS
LOVE THE LARGE THUMB HANDLE. VERY SHARP WITH GOOD SMOOTH CUTS. EASIER TO THREAD SMALL CRAPPIE JIGS AFTER LINE HAS BEEN CUT.
