Rated 2 out of 5 by Could be better The only problem I have with these clippers is the fact that they are too loose. When closed, if you hang them around your neck the thumb piece will just turn and hang down. I'm afraid they will come apart and you will loose the thumb piece when your leaning over the boat to lip a fish. They don't cut braid all that well either. But other than that they work fine for mono and the pick is handy for back lashes and odd jobs etc. January 26, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Nice Idea, Poor Execution I was looking for a new pair of clippers and saw these. Since I am a fan of multi-tools, I thought "why not"? The lanyard was an added bonus. After an hour of fishing with this object in my shirt pocket, I was ready to use it as a sinker. 1) The cutter is poorly aligned and suffers from "overbite" and wants to *scissor* the line instead of actually snipping it - not good with braid. 2) The "Detangler" hook would not stay in place, inside of the clippers. This hook is Extremely Sharp and I found that it kept sliding out of its storage position and poking me. 3) The knife also had the same problem in that it would not stay were it was supposed to. Thankfully, it is about as sharp as the keel on my boat., so no real damage was done. The only Positive is 3) The lanyard, which is now attached to the nail clippers I purchased at the drugstore. Bottom Line: Sorry, but this just isn't worth the time nor trouble. August 20, 2010
