Bass Pro Shops XPS Lazer Eye Deep Diver Crankbaits
Fishing in Lake Mead, water is clear and deep with steep drop offs, this crank lets you get down to the fish. Its also very sturdy, I've inadvertently thrown them into the quagga muscle covered rocks/cliffs many times with nothing but minor surface scratches, so far. It has caught more fish consistently than many of my name brand equivalents that cost 3x more. Can't go wrong.

I own one of these and tied it on after having no luck with much of anything else on a particularly windy day. While the paint job is nothing fancy, I think the durability and action is pretty good. After a few casts into a particularly rocky creek, I hooked a pretty nice flathead catfish that rescued me from a skunk. That cat fought pretty hard and the one stinger I had in its lip held up. Pretty decent hooks for the price.

Great bait for the dollar
I bought this bait in a Texas shad pattern. I used it in an area where a feeder creek runs along a point and then connects to the main creek channel. The water depth at the end of the point is 8 -10 foot and falls quickly to 14+ foot in the creek bottom. The bait easily casts 30 yds. It dives quickly and when fished slowly has enough bill to deflect off cover without problems. It backs up when paused so its easy to crawl over hang ups. The bass really hit this bait hard...no hookset required. Biggest bass was over 6 lbs. The only thing I did was downsize the back hook one size. The bait could use a little heavier clear coat as it was pretty chewed up at the end of the day. But that's a good thing isn't it?

worth twice the money
This crank would be worth twice the money, but don't raise the price. Its good where its at. This crank dives almost straight down. it has a nice roll and rises nice on the pause just as I like. works very well on suspending bass and digs deep with a craw pattern in the rocks and mud. well made.
