Our Bass Pro Shops® XPS® Lazer Eye™ Deep Diver Crankbaits are brilliant long-billed, diving "search" baits with a long history of producing. Their chubby, rounded bodies create tempting targets.

Our experts are impressed with the sculptured, naturally shaped body designs, the lifelike 3-D lazer eyes, the extra-loud rattles—and especially the hot finishes that replicate the natural colorization process (becoming more pronounced in direct sunlight, and somewhat less intense under the surface). All styles are equipped with premium extra-sharp hooks. Try one and see!

Great crank Fishing in Lake Mead, water is clear and deep with steep drop offs, this crank lets you get down to the fish. Its also very sturdy, I've inadvertently thrown them into the quagga muscle covered rocks/cliffs many times with nothing but minor surface scratches, so far. It has caught more fish consistently than many of my name brand equivalents that cost 3x more. Can't go wrong. July 18, 2014
Good Bargain I own one of these and tied it on after having no luck with much of anything else on a particularly windy day. While the paint job is nothing fancy, I think the durability and action is pretty good. After a few casts into a particularly rocky creek, I hooked a pretty nice flathead catfish that rescued me from a skunk. That cat fought pretty hard and the one stinger I had in its lip held up. Pretty decent hooks for the price. May 6, 2014
Great bait for the dollar I bought this bait in a Texas shad pattern. I used it in an area where a feeder creek runs along a point and then connects to the main creek channel. The water depth at the end of the point is 8 -10 foot and falls quickly to 14+ foot in the creek bottom. The bait easily casts 30 yds. It dives quickly and when fished slowly has enough bill to deflect off cover without problems. It backs up when paused so its easy to crawl over hang ups. The bass really hit this bait hard...no hookset required. Biggest bass was over 6 lbs. The only thing I did was downsize the back hook one size. The bait could use a little heavier clear coat as it was pretty chewed up at the end of the day. But that's a good thing isn't it? June 29, 2013
worth twice the money This crank would be worth twice the money, but don't raise the price. Its good where its at. This crank dives almost straight down. it has a nice roll and rises nice on the pause just as I like. works very well on suspending bass and digs deep with a craw pattern in the rocks and mud. well made. Fish 'em slowly once you have it at the desired depth and it has enough bill to deflect off cover and will back up when paused. I have no problems fishing them in heavy flooded timber.

They come through like a champ. Keep steady speed (slow / moderate). If you do get hung, just release pressure on the line, and then resume reeling. They back out almost every time.

Crankbaits can get hung up when bouncing the bottom, off timber, or in thick brush. I have hung up a few times but I manage to get free. Cover is where the fish are so carry several of these crankbaits just in case. These cranks are not expensive and are effective.

So far they hit timber and bounce over it. Now brush I've had to go get it a couple times. It has come through ok most of the time.

I've had good experiences with them coming through timber. Fish them in standing timber and run em through brush piles. I think it's a great crank. Like I said in the review, though, I would change out the hooks.
