Does this charger have a separate setting for AGM batteries?

With the on demand transfer will it put more than 10 amps to a battery? Most recommended charge rates are 10 amps. If one battery is charged and the other isn't, will it put 20 amps to the one?

it has different plugs for different battery's just install the 1 you need .2 different ones i think.

The owner’s manual states Check for loss of AC power at the 120VAC outlet. Confirm GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) has not tripped. Check with a meter or 120VAC test light that AC power is present at the end or your extension cord. Reset AC power if it was not present. Confirm all charger cables are installed with the correct polarity connections at each battery and that all connections are clean and tight. Wait 2 minutes while unit performs self test. If AC power is present and all connections are correct and LEDs do not illuminate, contact ProMariner at 1-800-824- 0524 from 8:30 am to 5pm Eastern Time. If your XPSiT is within the warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase, you can go to www.promariner.com where you will find our customer care return form and instructions.

I would think the (1) starter battery is a "bank", and the (2) in series to make 24V is a "bank." Please confirm correct, or set me straight here!

No... To connect a 24-volt system, just connect one set of leads (positive and negative) to each battery in the system (the leads are fully isolated from each other). You do not have to disconnect the jumper that connects the positive from one battery to the negative of another battery. A 2 bank charger charges 2 batteries, and a 3 bank charger charges 3 batteries. Therefore, since you have 4 batteries you will need a 4 bank charger. Thanks!

These chargers come with inline fuses already in the leads and you would want to contact the ring terminals that are provided directly to the batteries. You would not want to alter the leads and or bypass the fuse(s) for safety issues. If you need to extend the wires you would want to either purchase extender cables or construct a bolt to ring terminal end on an extender wire to attach to the already existing ring terminal.

Yes, it is completely waterproff. Our chargers charge and float lead-acid batteries at a different voltage than gel-cell batteries. You should not mix battery types because you are going to compromise a battery if you charge it at the wrong setting.

Details: 
I have a 60 amp alternator charging two commercial batteries for my diesel powered boat. I also have an on-board 3.5 kw gen set that I want to use to top up batteries while drift fishing offshore with motors off. I am installing a automatic transfer switch and shore power connection. When connected to shore power the XPS would be powered via T-fer switch through a dedicated breaker. When the gen comes up the xps would be powered by the genset. If I cranked the engines with the XPS was still powered by the genset would it hurt the xps or do I need to turn off the breaker to the xps?

No, the XPSiT charger needs to be plugged into AC outlet to charge the batteries. You would need to look for a On-Board Alternator Chargers, example item number 38-529-608-00.
