nice I'm sorry I didn't buy one earlier. I've owned boats all my life and this is the 1st onboard charger that I've purchased. It tells me when I can go fish, and easy to use. April 11, 2012
Not Very Reliable I have had this one month over a year and found out today that it is no longer working. For what these things cost you would expect them to at least last through the warranty. Hopefully the manufacture honors their warranty better that they construct battery chargers...we'll see. April 7, 2012
Very great purchase for the price and quality it was hard to beat. Since i upgraded my trolling motor to 24 volt i needed something like this. I had to remount in a different location but it is perfect. I just hope it last as long as my previous one. April 6, 2012
good product So far I have no complaints. My unit does not get "hot" but does get warm. It does not burn your hand or anything. I have used it for a couple months now and it seems to be working just fine and charging the batteries as it should. April 3, 2012

Refer to page 7 under General Operation in the owner's manual. The Float/Maintenance mode delivers precision 13.3 volts finishing voltage to maintain each battery..perfect for storage..will never overcharge. During this mode of operation the Go Fish! icon will illuminate indicating your batteries are fully charged and you can Go Fish! Thank you.

I was sold this charger along with size 34 batteries and as I am installing it I notice a note burried in the instructions saying only for use with size 24-31. Since I see no size restrictions listed anywhere on any of the models listed on line can someone tell me what chargers support size 34 batteries?

No... Per the Owner's Manual the XPSiT Waterproof Marine Battery Chargers are designed for any combination of group 24,27,30 and 31 batteries. Each battery charger DC output cable must be connected to one (1) 12 Volt DC battery (even if batteries are configured for 24 Volt DC or 36Volt DC trolling motor or system applications). Thanks

Using the XPSI

Details:
Is the XPSi 555 made to be left pluged in 24/7 or do you need to unplug it after the batteries are charged?.I feel like if it made to be mounted onboard, it should be able to stay pluged in for days..Like while your away from the lake and your boat is sitting at the camp site...or at the docks..

Yes, the chargers have a float mode (3rd step) which maintains the batteries at 13.3 volts (for lead-acid batteries) and 13.8 volts (for gel-cell batteries). As long as the batteries are in good condition and you maintain your water levels inside the batteries periodically (for lead-acid batteries), then you can leave the charger on between fishing, boating trips, etc. Thanks!

Make sure you have adequate ventilation for cooling when charging. It can be mounted in any direction; it can even be mounted on the underside of a hatch, or any wall that you have enough room (as long as it is mounted as far as possible from the batteries or fuel tank). Don’t mount them on carpets---if you have no other location, mount it on either a board or with some kind of spacers to lift the charger off of the carpeted area. If the charger is mounted in an enclosed space it is best to open a hatch during the first stage of charging.

Thanks!

The XPSiT charger needs to be plugged into AC outlet to charge the batteries. The 10/10 will not charge the battery while the boat is running. Thanks!
