I'm familiar with the butterfly jigging in saltwater and bought one of these to try. The quality looks good but had to see if the fish would eat it. I must say it works pretty good and I have caught a fair number of fish on it. I did notice I missed a number of fish, though would get hit a second time and could usually stick them. I went and upgraded the hooks to a larger size and have eliminated that problem.

by Skipjack Great Scouting Lure!
I use this lure to scout new spots when fishing offshore for snapper, grouper and live baits from my kayak. If anybody is home, the fish will hit this lure. The fish simply can't resist it! Sometimes the fish might not want to eat a piece of cut bait but because this lure flutters back into the fish's face, it will trigger an instant strike. There is no better jig on the market to scout holes offshore or catch small live baits in saltwater. I would give it 5 stars but the paint tends to shed after about 5 or 6 fish. But, I lose them to toothy critters right about the time the paint falls off anyways! HA!

I caught 25 to 50 or more white bass (sandys) on 2 out 4 trips to the lake . Very seldom will they throw the spoon ! I would recommend a 1oz.. It cast farther & sinks faster ! I would rate it higher but the chrome came off on the 2nd. or 3rd. time I uesd it !!!

I used this jig on my last trip(first time trying it.) I caught a little bit of everything with it including a 40 lb. carp. The double hook end is great for those slow biters. Would recommend a rod with counter weight when "freestyle jigging" with this jig. Planning on buying it in a few more colors.
