Inspired by a Japanese jigging technique that uses 2 single-assist hooks, making it harder for a fish to throw the bait.
Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ultimate spoon! These are the best spoons I have used yet. I use the 1/4 and 1/2 oz. models and swap the siwash hooks out for a size 4 owner feathered treble. Have caught some of the biggest smallmouth of my life on this setup. May 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by free style jigs Used them on white bass and wipers in 22' of water caught approx. 35 whites and two 7# wiper's and one small wiper the fish hit hard and really liked them had to quite my arms wrer getting tired. November 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by These WORK If you haven't tried this lure, do so NOW. It is easy to use and deadly on all saltwater fish. This lighter size seems to work better in shallow water, about 70ft. or less than the heaver one, in the salt water catalog. Fish do not get away with the assist hooks. Fantastic Lure. June 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by goin for the first one around here in sparta michigan me and my friends live by a saying and that is "every lake has its monster" and from hearing stories about the camp lake monster pike. i have told my friends about it and only my friends who have had visual encounters with this pike believe in it. one story was that they were swimming and it swam against my friends grandfathers leg and he said it was bigger than him ive personnally seen a smaller version of that pike 3 years ago when i started to bass fish and he was a 4 foot northern then and my friends say its bigger now and theres plenty of the monster pike in there. in estimate the pike is about 6 to 7 feet long. thats the biggest one ive heard of. anyway im only 14 and when i try for this monster ill just be 15 and 5 months old. this is going to be garunteed a go to for catching em' im getting one other jig a dardevl or two 2 big jerk baits and two big buzzbaits October 4, 2011

Do they work that well?

Details:
Are they effective when drifting over structure or through rips searching for fish, or are they only effective once gamefish have been found and attracted?

It's one of the best deep vertical jigs I've ever used on white and hybrid striped bass in 15 to 35 feet of water. For clear water try natural colors or white. Works well for fish that are suspended or on the bottom. With a good depthfinder, you can watch it work in a school of fish.

I use a small duo-lock snap and attach at the end away from the hooks. It might be interesting to try it the other way!

I saw a Shimano rep fishing this lure on tv. He recommend you tie to the ring w/ the hooks. This keeps the fish from using the weight of the lure to throw the hook. I'm not sure why they have the rear ring, I guess to add a third hook if wanted. The show was salt water w/ much larger lures, but I'm sure it will work the same.
