Inspired by a Japanese jigging technique that uses 2 single-assist hooks, making it harder for a fish to throw the bait.
Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by freestyle jig This lure is a killer of flounder, sea bass, and striper lure as well as many other fish. I do a fishing trip to marthas vinyard every year and load up on this lure. I couldnt recomend it any more this is my go to lure. March 22, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by just too good i was looking for an afordable jig for start wth the stile and read all the reviews before buy it ,and as al the reviews said pretty much the same , i boug them and put two extra coats of clear coat on them and it works wonders ,and by the way they are great so good i have put a wire shot to save them from tooty cryters that seem to love them December 5, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Must have in the box I have used this lure for two years on primarily white and stripper bass. It is a guaranteed fish on if you have any skill at all. Be aware if you have young or inexperienced anglers with you that you may want to remove one of the hooks as the spare hook can get stuck in your hand with a feisty fish on! Drawback is that the finish tends to get beaten up in a fairly short time. November 2, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fish catching lure I use this lure often to deep vertical jig for white and hybrid striped bass. It catches fish, seldom do I lose one, and the hooks almost never tangle in the line. September 1, 2010

Do they work that well?

Details:
Are they effective when drifting over structure or through rips searching for fish, or are they only effective once gamefish have been found and attracted?

It's one of the best deep vertical jigs I've ever used on white and hybrid striped bass in 15 to 35 feet of water. For clear water try natural colors or white. Works well for fish that are suspended or on the bottom. With a good depthfinder, you can watch it work in a school of fish.

I use a small duo-lock snap and attach at the end away from the hooks. It might be interesting to try it the other way!

I saw a Shimano rep fishing this lure on tv. He recommend you tie to the ring w/ the hooks. This keeps the fish from using the weight of the lure to throw the hook. I'm not sure why they have the rear ring, I guess to add a third hook if wanted. The show was salt water w/ much larger lures, but I'm sure it will work the same.
