I compared this jacket to all others at my local BPS store. It fit better and had comparable quality of jackets costing many times more. I plan on buying a couple more colors. Exceptional buy. I wish they made matching pants!

Used it on late Oct. hunt kept me warm enough to wear shorts at night. True to size cut with a Lil room to spare. Been using it for work and I just love it as an everyday jacket.

Well worth the money. Quite a bit warmer than
standard fleece or polartec.

I very very rarely rate products. Even If I buy something and it ends up being a total disappointment. I just dont like creating new logins and passwords and putting myself out there. That said, I dont care how annoying the login process is for this rating because this jacket is a true performer. I bought it on a whim, I didn't need it, and I had never previously heard of the brand "XPS." I just liked the way it felt. I bought the jacket in the Fall of 2010 thinking I would only wear it during cool months and switch to my ski parka for the winter. To my surprise I haven't put on the parka once this winter (Buffalo, NY). This new fleece has something special going on and I have no clue what it is. The cold driving winter wind doesn't penetrate the material (which isn't quite like a fleece, it has no real "pile" feel to it.) You can slightly feel a strong sub-zero wind which serves to remind you of the jacket's true performace. I personally wear the jacket all day. It is one-piece, soft, light, thin, un-obstructive, and easy to keep up with (unlike a two-piece parka) but it's also incredibly sturdy, and resilient. The true performance test was the "re-fuel the car" test. I can wear it comfortably in the car on a long trip and then step out into the cold winter to re-fuel, clean windshields etc. without being uncomfortably cold. When you briskly pull the material taught you can hear what sounds like a "barrier of rubber" between the outer and inner fabric. This also serves to keep the jacket's shape.
Bottom line, I'm always on the go. I'm truly amazed that this jacket rivals the performance of my giant Columbia ski parka, weighs a lot less, and really looks great (I got it in black which creates a nice "brushed nickel" look after washed). TIP: Buy one size smaller, they run a tad big, but honestly I think they perform better when the fit is more contour to your upper body.
