Rated 3 out of 5Â by SimonD Good starter kit, but...
I bought this kit to get a starter base of rattle baits because it was good value. Later, with more experience, I've learned 2 things:
1- The color choice of this kit is anything but adapted to my regional baitfish composition. Although this is anything but BPS fault, in retrospect it's would have been better to buy 2-3 baits of the precise colors adapted to local fishing conditions. For this reason, the kit isn't a great chocie for all.
2- The hooks on these lures are low quality. Hook into anything big and horse it a bit and I have no doubt it could starightent out. The hook can hardly be sharpened it's so soft.
For these reasons I can only give it a 3 star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by littlebuddy awesome lipless crankbaits
I've had the best fishing days of my life with these baits. they have a real smooth and tight rattle drawing fish from all over. Personally i like the lighter colors but I've had success on all of them. with the lightish blue Ive caught HUGE 9-10 lb bass with it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Dujtaylo nice lipless crankbait for a good price!
I've been very happy with these lipless crankbaits. This is a good kit to add to your tackle bag. The hooks are sharp and great for an eye crossing hook set even in deep water. They have a really nice tight wiggle that gets the rattle really going! You can feel every move with this lure in your rod. I have caught several smallmouth bass on these in some tough fishing conditions when other anglers had just worked the area and come up dry! Great product for a good price.

Go with the Bass Pro Minnow kit. look as good as the big brands work well. I own these and use them but not as much action as the minnow kit.The bass Pro 5 piece sets are a good way to go to get started.

1) the obvious fishing pole with line2) off setting hooks
3) rubber worms
.....this is the ultimate limited budget get up I can find...off setting hooks from bass pro less than $10 for 50....package of rubber worms less tha $10 for nearly 20-25 worms....this should last you quite awhile...if you catch a fish on the hook and worm 9/10 times the worm is still good to use again...I have on so very many occasions caught 5-6 fish on one worm and I almost never replace the hook unless I am changing bait or catch a snag
