These sweatshirts are great and they definitely keep the wind off of you. Put a good thermal undwear and a t-shirt underneath and you are good for cold tempertures with minimal layers in any dry condition. One bad thing is they are a bit too warm to lounge around in the house.

You will stay warm in this hooded sweatshirt. It stands up to its description for wind resistance and it wicks moisture away from your body so when its really cold you wont get wet and begin to freeze. I wore this sweatshirt in below freezing temperatures during a snowstorm with only an insulated shirt beneath it and I did not get cold. I was walking outside and not stationary so I was generating some of my own body heat but this sweatshirt kept the wind off of me and did not hold moisture. This sweatshirt would work great for any outdoor activity including hunting which is what I use it for. As part of a layering system for extremely cold hunting this sweatshirt was versatile as it is very lightweight and dried quickly when I got covered with snow. When I wore the hood down it kept the wind off of my neck and when I put it up it contained all of my body heat. The hood is a bit large though and if you wear it up you will lose most of your peripheral vision so I recommend that you leave the hood down and use a fleece hat or balaclava for your head.

Wore this temp was in low 20's and windy. Stayed warm and comfortable all day long.

I grabbed this while looking for a sweatshirt the other weekend. I liked the feel of it and was intrigued by the wind resistant feature.
I can say it definitely seems to block the wind, and when I was out with drizzly weather it beaded up and did not soak my shirt the way it would have a regular cotton shirt.
