Thicker bolt? The strap is fine. I note that the old bolt with my original strap was badly bent and difficult to remove. The bolt with this new strap is much lighter and will probably bend even more when under pressure. . May 25, 2014
easy install Its a quality product, installed in minutes. i broke my old strap last weekend and had a tournament coming up on the following weekend, the strap arrived early and we were on our way. Placed 3rd April 3, 2013
Good buy.. I feel that this is a worthwhile product.. I would like to see a bit more "leverage" built in to it, so you could snug it down enough to take the strain off of the bow winch strap.. April 2, 2012
OK Nice strap, nice price, one problem. The hardware was too long and would not fit between the bracket of the winch. Took some trimming. The old hardware could not be re-used. June 21, 2012

The only reason you would need to 20 ft is if you plan on having boat completely off trailer and cranking it on. Which will be hard on everything. I only use about 3 ft on my 19 ft boat

We suggest the 20' strap in case you ever need to winch the boat on the trailer entirely (due to engine failure etc). Thank you.

This is a far superior replacement. going to the strap eliminates the tug and pull from the cable wedging between wraps.

A:
Probably. Your winch has to be at least 2" wide to accept the strap. Also these have a loop in the end that has a bolt to hold it to the winch, so make sure your winch body has a bolt for the existing cable.
