Bass Pro Shops® Weighted Treble Hooks
The Bass Pro Shops Weighted Treble Hooks work great for many purposes. The up-sized treble hooks can be used to catch fish by snagging and can also be helpful in retrieving objects from the bottom. The weight is cast around the shaft of a treble hook.

I use these hooks for gator hunting in South Carolina, worked well with 500 lb. test line to snag a very mad gator. $5.29 for 12/0 hooks, local gator guides want $15 ea. for them.

On 1 Jul 11, my carolina rig, a GLX loomis rod and a Shimano CuradoDSV 300 went overboard in 30 feet of water. I trolled for hours with nothing to show for it but a 7lb striper. A friend recommended using the weighted trebles to build a dragging device to recover my rod. With my trail still loaded in my HDS 5, I returned to the lake 58 days later (it took a while for me to get all the items I needed and the time to search). On the third pass, in 45 minutes, I recovered my $600 fishing rig. Now, like my Visa card, I won't go in the boat without it!

I bought these for spring time grass carp fishing cause the grass carp stay mostly at the top of the water for spawning and they get huge. Hooks worked great.
