I use these after cold fronts and I know the slabs are tight to cover and finicky . The gaurds work for a couple bumps in cover but after that they will get hung up anyway . You difinetly need to check the wire strand every cast even if you don't hit anything. They need to change the gaurds to a single nylon strand or make these a little stiffer. Outside of the way they are intended to be fished they really are nearly as good as roadrunners . The spinners on roadrunners will spin at slower speeds giving roadrunners the nod as better than the non weedless basspro version. If basspro would fix its gaurds and use a little better bearing swivel then these would proably become my near fulltime casting presentation. If roadrunner comes out with a brush gaurd model soon I will be using it if its better. I'm hopeful to improvements from both companies.

Pan fish chase all my lures all day long. Sometimes they even bite at lures bigger than themselves. I throw this jig in the water and they are not even interested. The skirt doesn't move around and neither does the silver blade. For $.94 however I am not going to give up on it.
