the old horse head stump jumper wasn't pretty but it ran well in the water and hammered crappie. This lure is pretty but pure junk!! Bring back the origional, head like the blakemore road runner but with a wire weed guard.

I bought the stump jumpers but really wanted Blakeley Road Runners but you do not carry them. The Stump Jumpers did not work as well. Powder coating around the swivel and blade area kept the blade from spinning freely.

this lure can't seem to make up its' mind...is it a jig or is it a spinner? Well in the experience I have had using it....it fails at both. I ended up taking the jig off and hooking it up to a darting type jig head. #no spinner#. The powder coating effects the spinner in a very negative way. Worst of all this lure wins the prize for the most snag prone Crappie Jig I can tie on. One would be better off using a simple micro tube jig if this is the type of presentation they are inclined to cast. I guess if you troll for crappie this might #and I say MIGHT# be an effective umbrella rig jig. But I'm done with them.

Never got snagged on weeds or fish! I think they will catch fish, just used them on a bad weekend for fishing. They have a nice action in the water.
