Rated 5 out of 5 by Great combo for the money Bass Pro you have done it again with the Viper VRC Rod combo.I been fishing for over 55 year and I have tested a lot of different combos. The combo is great for the money, lite weight, smooth and using 15lb braided line cast great and is strong enough to pull a 16' boat & motor in 15 mph wind to shore without breaking. Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed I saw this combo at a basspro store back in may and thought it was a great deal. looked at it closer and loved that it was light rod not to mention the 10 bearing system reel. you couldn't beat a basspro brand combo for 40 bucks. So i decided to buy the 6'6" one piece rod combo. The next day i went out on the boat and i used a 1/4 ounce tube. On the third cast it got snagged so i tried to undo the snag with light pressure but the rod snapped in half. That ruined my whole fishing day. Went back to basspro the next day, returned it, and bought a St, Croix July 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Great Price Got this at my local bass pro and have too say I LOVE IT. Reel is smooth and pole is sensitive. Don't read the other review, a graphite pole will break if you tug on it when snagged. Graphite is easier to break, versus a cheaper no name pole will be fiberglass which are more durable. If you pull the pole straight back you will never break the pole and it will last! Love bass pro and all the products they release. July 12, 2012
