Rated 4 out of 5Â by Kauffy I read the reviews
Before I purchased this product, I read the reviews and decided that if I were proactive and made some alterations that I thought would address the problems, this product could be everything I need it to be, for my pontoon. My primary alteration was to cut filler blocks and make the plastic block "solid"-- glueing them in with Gorilla glue. I also added larger washers for the block bolts, for more surface area of contact. I also knew that I didn't need to readjust the extension beam, so I added 2 self-tapping screws to make that assy. stronger as well... (If I ever need to readjust the ext. beam, I can remove the screws, and reposition as needed.) Though I have yet to put it to the test, I am confident that with these improvements, I have a much stronger product, equal to one for a much higher cost (but the design of this one, best fits my needs...).

Can I use this bracket for a mad river adventure series 14 ft canoeAnswers
A:Â
It should work fine for that applicationA:Â
The required space is 3.5'' x 4'' mounting footprint, so if you have that amount of space on your transom then you could use it.Details:Â
If I used the bracket only with the boat in the water (not on a trailer) and secured the bracket with a screw in the hole provided, would it work satisfactorily? My only purpose would be to approach quietly into redfish territory.Answers

I see no reason that it wouldn't... In fact, I have given consideration to almost the same thought-- Believing that the extra screw would both take any noisy slack out of the mount, but also make for a stronger mount as a whole. My thought is to use a thumb screw, so it is easy to part the mount as originally designed-- just one extra step.1 of 1
