Bought as a close out item. They are water proof but low quality. They are the same material as the cloth grocery bags. They will be good to keep in the boat for emergency use.

Bought the jacket and the matching pants (will be leaving the same review on the jacket) for myself and a buddy for a weekend fishing trip. Same comments as some of the others regarding the quality and durability of this product. Both sets were worn twice before they had fuzzed/balled up so bad that they were useless. Returned them to BPS for a full refund and bought the nylon style jacket and pants for about $20 more, which have been great.

I used these pants at a recent tournament in freezing temperatures and wind driven torrential rain. Pants held up very well with no leaks, no tears or punctures. I would recommend to anyone for occassional use who doesn't want to spend $200 plus for a high end set of rain pants

Well they work well if your just useing them a couple times. They are very light weight and fit over jeans well. But if your a angler that fishs all the time you need to go with gortex.
