Rated 5 out of 5 by Crappie Killers That is what they should have named these little creatures. They have been my savior this fall. I'm takin' fish home while the guys with live bait are scratchin' their heads and goin' home empty handed. Give them a try, you won't be sorry. October 22, 2008

A:
I routinely catch steelheads by mistake while crappie fishing using these baits in Presque Isle Bay in Erie, Pa. My son has used these steelhead and brown fishing in tributaries of Lake Ontario and had great success.

I use these jigs in ponds, creeks, and even in the Great Lakes. I fish them under bobbers as well as just cast them out and slowly retrieve them depending on what the fish want that day. If using a bobber give a little flick of your wrist every now and then to make the bait jump or twitch to catch more fish.
