I got this reel the first fish was about a two pound spotted bass. when i set the hook reel made a funny sound and sound like it going to fly apart every cast.

bought this pole experimenting, took it out a week later to lake, had no problem pulling out a two pound rainbow trout. It's really sensative, felt it at first bite. I was kind of iffy at first if it would hold up. The line seems good as well, but only time will tell. Now myson wants one too..

The wife and i bought these rods as an experiment and are well pleased. we used these rods in saltwater and had no problems. we caught catfish, jacks, pinfish and a nice black drum. the rod was senitive yet strong. the reel seems good, only time will tell how long they last. overall a great combo for price
