Bass Pro Shops® Tournament Series® Snagless Super Squirts
"Super Squirts" are the most exciting thing to happen in crappie fishing in years. Now you can fish a crappie jig in the heaviest cover you have ever seen, without fear of losing it because its snagless. Solid body construction makes these jigs virtually indestructible. Salt impregnated. Length: 1-1/2". 15 pack. Made in USA.

Great little crappie lure. I have been using these for years. Use them exlusively for fishing brush and other heavy cover. Rubber guard works well. Throw them into a brush pile; let it fall slowly thru the cover. Glide it gently thru the limbs. When you feel the fish take the lure, set hook a little harder than normal to penetrate the guard. Rarely hangs up. I keep a good supply of these on hand in various colors. Wish BPS had them in a little larger size, and had them in blue and chartreuse.

I have been bass, trout and crappie fishing for over 40 years, long before the advent of tube jigs, when maribou was about the only choice and rubber baits were mostly reserved for bass fishing lures. Don't get me wrong, there are times when a quality made maribou still fills the bill! These super squirt tubes with the little snagless spaghetti like addition is a simple, but extraordinary idea. After installing a lead headed hook you just thread the end of the little spaghetti tag onto the point of the hook. My only disappointment is that I didn't think of it. I toss these tubes with a 6 1/2' light action, fast tipped spinning rod with 6 Lb. Trilene XL line into the thickest of underwater crappie holding brush. I'm able to finese these baits right on through the structure while catching some of the biggest and higher numbers of crappie on a consistant basis due to being able to avoid getting hung up. You still need to locate active fish, find the right color combination and depth, but I lose very few lures and hook up with much higher numbers of fish per casts than prior to coming across these jigs.

This jig caught me 30 crappie off of a dock in Lake Isabella,California. Every cast my buddy and I caught one. I recommend this lure.
